After the wedding, Alyson, Chris, and Emmett will be heading over to the coast and spending Monday through Wednesday in Cannon Beach, Oregon. If you’re extending your trip to explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest, or are a local, we’d love to meet up while we’re there. No schedule, no pressure, just time together in a beautiful place.

Getting to the Venue

McMenamins Edgefield is just 15 minutes away from Portland International Airport (PDX) and 20-30 minutes from downtown Portland.&nbsp;Car ride services like Uber and Lyft are available if you are flying in and don't want to rent a car.

Parking

Parking is available at the venue. If you’re heading east on SW Halsey St from Portland or Troutdale, take the first clearly marked turn for Edgefield—Edgefield Winery Road. The second entrance will bring you to the front of the hotel, which also has parking, but it’s smaller and farther from the wedding location. Follow Edgefield Winery Road past Ruby’s Spa (on your right). Continue past the first parking lot on your right, then a second lot, and keep going. At the upper left corner, turn left and head uphill toward a smaller parking lot near the golf course. This is the lot closest to Blackberry Hall. The venue also hosts large <a href="https://edgefieldconcerts.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">concerts </a>on Saturday nights, so it can get quite busy. They expand parking to nearby fields when the regular lots are full.

Places to Stay

Lodging at the venue is very limited, so if you want to stay on the property, please book early! ﻿We have a small block (10) rooms reserved at McMenamins Edgefield. Please note that these rooms have limited amenities, without air conditioning or televisions, and do not have in-room bathrooms. Private, shared bathrooms are located in the hallways. Please call to make a reservation under our name. We also have a block of rooms reserved at the Best Western in Troutdale, just a 5-minute drive to the venue. Please call to reserve under our name for an 8 percent discount. If you like the vibe of Edgefield but want your own bathroom and air conditioning, they have another property in NE Portland called the Kennedy School about 15-20 minutes from the venue. We don't have a block reserved here. Airbnb rentals are also available in the area. And if you want to stay in downtown Portland proper, we'd be happy to provide hotel suggestions.

Historic Edgefield, built in 1911, originally a farm, is a destination resort in the Pacific Northwest: original buildings restored with cozy interiors, gardens grown using organic methods, great food and drink, live entertainment and more. At the mouth of the spectacular Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area, Edgefield is a 20-minute drive to or from the center of downtown Portland and about 15 minutes from Portland International Airport. We do offer complimentary WiFi. Wander about the extensive gardens. Have a look at extensive artwork on walls, pipes and more, pick up souvenirs in the gift shop, visit the winery, and so much more.

Located in Troutdale, Best Western Cascade Inn &amp; Suites offers accommodations within 25 minutes of downtown Portland. Guest rooms offer satellite channels, and a complimentary breakfast can be enjoyed by guests at the property. Each room at the property offers high-speed internet access and a desk. Guests will also receive complimentary newspapers provided by Best Western PLUS Cascade Inn &amp; Suites. A heated indoor pool is featured at Best Western PLUS Cascade Inn &amp; Suites, along with a hot tub and whirlpool. A fitness center is also located on-site, along with a steam room and business center. Breakfast is served daily, offering a variety of hot and cold items, including breads, cereal, fruit, eggs, yogurt, breakfast meat, juice, and coffee. Various activities can be enjoyed near the property, including hiking, skiing, and cycling. McMenamins Edgefield Winery is 0.7 mi away, while Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site is 3.7 mi away. Mt. At Kennedy School, you'll never want to leave.&nbsp;Here you can have a pint in a classroom, enjoy an aged whiskey in detention, enjoy a movie in the old auditorium.... The possibilities here are endless. (Just don't run in the hallways, please.&nbsp;You might spill your beer.)Since its 1915 opening, this historic elementary school has been a beloved fixture of its Northeast Portland neighborhood. McMenamins renovated the once-abandoned scholastic gem and turned it into Portland's most unique hotel. Here you'll find 57 comfy guestrooms&nbsp;with&nbsp;private baths and telephones&nbsp;(some fashioned from former classrooms&nbsp;complete with original chalkboards and cloakrooms –&nbsp;others with an author's theme), a restaurant, multiple small bars, a movie theater, soaking pool, gift shop&nbsp;and a brewery (just wait until the principal hears about this!).
