Once upon a time, in the bustling digital realm of dating apps, two adventurous souls found themselves swiping right on fate. It was the end of 2015 when Chris and Alyson crossed paths, and little did they know, their love story was about to unfold in the most delightful way. Their first date took place over a casual beer in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, PA. Chris, ever the romantic, decided to put a star next to Alyson's name in his phone after that fateful evening—an indication that she was someone special. Spoiler alert: he was right!

Fast forward to March of the following year, when Alyson took Chris on his very first backpacking trip in the Vantana Wilderness in Big Sur, California. Despite a meticulous packing list, Chris packed just about all of his camera gear and a laptop computer (yes, you read that right!). Their journey took an unexpected turn when they lost the trail and ended up bushwacking through tick infested vegetation. Both ended up with a terrible case of poison oak. But fear not! This little hiccup only solidified their bond, and by the end of the trip, they were officially a couple.

As their love blossomed, Alyson continued to share her passion for travel, hiking and the great outdoors, while Chris shared his love of photography, Bruce Springsteen, and the Jersey Shore. They went on many trips together from the Enchantments in Washington State to the Dolomites in Northern Italy. With each adventure, Chris refined his camera setup, trading in his heavy gear for a lighter load, making subsequent trips much more enjoyable. Together, they explored new and familiar places, capturing memories one snapshot at a time.

In 2018, they took a big step and moved into a rowhome together in Point Breeze, Philadelphia. Their home was soon filled with the pitter-patter of paws when they adopted their golden retriever, Teddy, in January of 2019. Teddy quickly became the third wheel in their love story, bringing much joy to their lives.

The adventure continued in 2020 when Chris whisked Alyson away on an RV trip through the stunning American Southwest. In a remote area of Utah called White Pocket, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, Chris popped the question, and Alyson said yes!

However, the universe had other plans, and the pandemic put their wedding plans on hold. But joy was just around the corner with the arrival of their son, Emmett DeAntonio, in November of 2020. Suddenly, their hearts grew even fuller.

In the spring of 2022, Chris and Alyson made the big move across the country to Alyson's home state of Oregon. They bought a charming home in Portland, where they embraced their new life as Oregonians. Together, they spend their days exploring the stunning landscapes of the Beaver State, introducing Emmett to the wonders of nature and the beauty of their new home.

And so, the tale of Chris and Alyson continues, filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures. As they prepare to say "I do," they look forward to writing the next chapters of their story together, hand in hand, heart to heart.
